So here's the recap...
After Halloween, my Mom came to visit. She is still here, and will be here with the kids while I'm in Ethiopia for the Holiday Project. I leave next week, and will return on the 13th of January.
I've been a fundraising fool... and this year managed to raise nearly $22,000 for the project, via flat out begging.... and donated $1000 from funds raised on my Etsy shop! Its a great year for the project, and I'm so excited to head to Addis next week!
Thanks so much to each of you who donated to the cause, because, really, I couldn't do it, without folks like you!
Leyton's been working on his flips on the trampoline... and has been dying for his daddy to see these!
I took a few pics of the kids when the leaves were changing around the first of November....
Flat Stanley came for a visit, too... and we had a great time showing him around Germany!
It was great to have my Mom here for Thanksgiving, and we celebrated with a few friends. It was a great day, with great food, both traditional Thanksgiving food, and some GREAT Ethiopian fare! We are really thankful for the great friends we have made this year, and were so happy to have them with us that day!
The weekend after Thanksgiving, our great friends, and landlords, Johann and Anne took Mom and I, on a train trip to Nuernburg for the Christmas market and sight seeing... It was a great time, and we are so glad that we moved into this house, and have gotten a chance to meet them!
The train ticket was good for two days, so the next day, Mom and I took the kids to Rothenburg for a visit to the Christmas market there.... They really enjoyed the trainride
Last weekend, our Dutch friends, came to visit from Holland, and brought with them the first snow (we've been home for) of the season! It was nice to visit with them, it had been way too long...
It was also the girls first school dance.... They were so nervous... but looked great, and had a great time, after they got there, and got over the jitters....
The school Winter Program was this week, and all 4 kids had a part... Ava's was short and sweet, and she basically just stood there smiling at everyone else.... Liya did a great job on the recorder, while Selina stood there faking it.... and Leyton was good as usual...
Our friends dog was visiting us this week, and Ava really enjoyed making herself at home in her kennel....
And hard to beleive, but my Leyton turned 7 this week! He had his party back in June on his 1/2 birthday, but we celebrated with Oma (who's birthday is the same day!) and had Corn dog dinner and Ice cream cake!
We got about 5 inches of snow last night, and the kids were outside most of the day, playing in it... Here are a few pics of the girls outside!
That about wraps it up... I'll post some more after my trip! So check back!
